Car Paint Protection Film
PPF in Egypt
The first scratch on your new car's paint usually doesn't come from an accident, but from a flying stone on the desert road, a rough car-wash brush, or a motorcycle passing you in traffic. Paint protection film (PPF) is the layer that takes these hits instead of the paint. At Dr Protect we install genuine TPU films with full-body coverage, a written warranty of up to 12 years, and free check-ups every 6 months.

What Is Car Paint Protection Film (PPF)?
PPF stands for Paint Protection Film: a clear film made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) applied to the original paint. It's 190 to 240 microns thick — about three times the thickness of a sheet of paper — enough to absorb stone impacts and daily friction before they reach the paint.
The top layer is flexible and self-healing, so light surface scratches disappear when exposed to sun heat or warm water. The film is clear, so your car looks exactly the same, and a matte version is also available if you want to change the finish.

What Exactly Does Protection Film Protect Your Car From?
Flying stones
The top cause of chipped paint on the front bumper and hood on highways.
Daily friction scratches
From tight parking, bags, and keys around the door handles.
Wash swirls
The circular swirl marks left by brushes and towels at car washes.
Bird droppings and tree sap
Acidic substances that damage the paint if left on it in the sun.
Sun rays
The film prevents color fading and yellowing in Egypt's summer heat.
Car value
The original paint stays intact, which is reflected in the resale price.
To be honest: protection film doesn't prevent damage from accidents, hard impacts or very deep scratches; it reduces damage, but it isn't armor against accidents.

How We Install Protection Film
Full installation takes 12 to 24 hours depending on the car's size.
Paint inspection
We inspect the paint and note any existing scratches before installation, because the film protects against new damage and doesn't fix old damage.
Deep wash and chemical decontamination
We remove grease, dust and wax residue so the film bonds firmly.
Machine-cut film
Precisely cut to your car model, with no sharp tools used on the paint.
Installation
In a clean, enclosed space, with edges wrapped inside the panels so the film stays invisible and doesn't lift.
Heat setting and final inspection
We set the film and check every panel under strong lighting.

Written warranty and Free Follow-up
The warranty is written and stamped: 10 years on all films and 12 years on Progatti films, covering manufacturing and installation defects, cracking and discoloration.
We also give your car a free inspection and maintenance every 6 months, to catch anything early and make sure the protection is working at full efficiency.
Protection Film Who Is It For?
- If you've just received a new car: this is the best time, because the paint hasn't been scratched yet. (Why install the film right after purchase)
- If your car is a dark color (black or dark gray), any scratch shows quickly.
- If you travel a lot on highways with lots of gravel.
- If you plan to sell the car after a few years and want to preserve its value.
Caring for Your Car After Film Installation
- Avoid washing the car during the first week.
- Stick to hand washing with a pH-neutral shampoo, and avoid rough brushes.
- Keep pressure washers away from the film edges.
- Remove bird droppings quickly.
Questions about Paint Protection Film
Our full-coverage prices start at EGP 33,000 for XPEL 190 microns and go up to EGP 62,000 for Progatti 240 microns. All prices include nano-graphene for trim and piano black, clear heat insulation film for the door windows, and a 10-year warranty (12 years for Progatti films).
Genuine film lasts 10 to 12 years with proper care — the same period covered by the warranty.
The upfront cost is higher than nano ceramic, counterfeit films can yellow or peel, and poor installation leaves bubbles. That's why genuine material and a written warranty matter more than price.
